Laura handles leading advertising, marketing communications, market research, and management of distribution channels. She is also a founding partner of Selva Pacifica Luxury Rentals. Laura brings 12 years of vacation rental experience in Nicaragua to the team.

Her energetic personality and wealth of experience have resulted in her being the top AIRBNB SuperHost in Nicaragua. She has over 700 five-star reviews. Laura’s desire to provide a world-class travel experience grew from her own extensive travel. She has visited over 50 countries. Her most recent adventure was overland in Africa. She traveled through Mozambique, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, into Zimbabwe. This firsthand experience as a traveler gives Laura insight into the travel industry and the vacation rental market. She splits her time between rural living on the coast of Nicaragua, and in the fast-paced world-class city of Toronto. She does this along with her husband of 22 years, Joel.

Laura has a diverse background and education. Her first career was in the high-paced, high-stress job of paramedicine/EMS in Toronto. The search for a quieter, less stressful life, led Laura to move on. She followed her passion for food—and trained as a Chef at the ICC in California. She graduated top of her class with honors.
