About Me

Her travels have taken her and her family all over the United States and now to Nicaragua. Initially, she came here to enjoy the freedom of more personal time, as her husband retired from the US Army.

She grew up watching her mother work in Real Estate for 22 years. and her father builds energy-efficient houses. She thinks that as children we all grow up swearing that we will be different from our parents. But now here she is, waking up every day, full of joy to serve the community here in Nicaragua.

For 7 years she has been working from home in Social Media Marketing, which she loves. Despite having to move from one place to another (due to her husband’s work), she has managed to maintain her career and prosper. Not only in her work but in herself and as a mother of two beautiful babies.

She had always wanted to come to Nicaragua and buy a property in paradise that would allow her to serve the community. She is now dabbling in Real Estate. Thanks to her success in marketing and her close and long-term relationship with her clients, it has become very easy for her to get started in the real estate market.

Whitney believes that throughout her life she has been lucky to find careers that make her happy, and she is grateful to do what she loves. Her motto is: “When you love what you do, success and excellence come easily.”

She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Pre-Law and Juvenile Justice. She attended Lindenwood University, in St. Charles, Missouri, on a Division 1 Water Polo scholarship. While on the team, she was co-captain of the girls’ varsity team and co-captain of the boys’ JV team. She received commendations for both roles. She advocates for awareness of victims of human trafficking and she has written two books on child abduction prevention.

Hobbies and family

She and her husband, Michael, have been married since 2014 and have 2 daughters who attend day school. They moved here to enjoy the slower pace of life and focus more on experiences as opposed to the fast pace of life in the United States.

She is like a chameleon when it comes to hobbies and interests. She owned a gym and was also a competitive athlete in the sport of Strongman and CrossFit. After having her first baby, her new hobbies were swimming and learning social media marketing. Here in San Juan del Sur, she practices surfing, yoga, running, and dog sitting. She volunteers at Believe Academy, learning Spanish with the locals. She’s immersing herself in local delicacies and supporting local Nicaraguan businesses. She enjoys entrepreneurship and business consulting, helping small businesses scale and increase their reach. That also means increasing their net worth. She can often be found sharing the “tricks of her trade” on podcasts, and social media video streams. Whitney also teaches/coaches other business teams in in-person seminars.

She is happy when she is with her family at the beach or dancing/singing in the streets of SJDS, or playing with the local children. She feels like she’s living a dream every day by living in this country. She hopes she can bring that same joy to those looking to move here, and locals looking to create their dream life here. As such, her motto in Trinity Real Estate is: “Create a life here and you’ll never need a vacation.
